After more than one year of silence NetDevil is back with Jumpgate Evolution.
So what's going on over there? Why all the silence and delays? Apparently, those delays are due to the extensive overhaul to the entire game: "...the team made the crucial decision to completely overhaul JGE's game systems, while also refocusing specifically on the game play experience we wanted to make: space warfare on a massive scale." Much of the game was removed completely and replaced to fit the team had in mind.
And the media blackout? "We couldn't discuss game features, because we were no longer sure what would make it into the game and what wouldn't. We couldn't talk about story, because it was being completely rewritten. There was so much that we wanted to share, but things were just at too early of a stage to discuss without the risk of disappointing you, our community. When we announce something, we ought to be as confident as possible that it will stay in the game – although in game development, there are no guarantees." [found at massively.com]
Gala-Net has announced that their upcoming free-to-play MMORPG Aika Online will enter Open Beta on March 16. The PVP-centric title will feature six classes, a leveling curve initially topping out at 50, and a player-run political system consisting of a forever war fought among five factions.
Post-launch plans include regular PVP events similar to those introduced in the closed beta testing. Weekly castle sieges, 1000 vs. 1000 relic theft battles, and traditional battlegrounds are all on the docket. Additionally, class-specific mounts including the War Hamster and the Dual Gunner's Hoverbike will be available upon reaching level 40.
PVE fans won't be left out in the cold either, as we recently noted in our first impressions. Aika's lore, expansive world, and a large assortment of quests look to offer something for everyone.
The stunning graphics of Blade & Soul, its physics and the intense battle animations seem to be a side product only, originally developed for Aion. Check out this incredible trailer showing "The Future of Aion".
I have formed Inquisition on the Marchutan server for Aion NA. The General of Inquisition is my alt Warduke for now. Booda is still my main but is untagged atm. I have one IRL friend who is is my first member and we're taking our time enjoying all the quests, the environment and learning to play at a nice easy pace.
I'm looking for those that are interested in coming to Marchutan and enjoying some fun in Aion that isn't going to be rushed or hurried and everyone helps everyone else out with quests and the like. Those in IS know me and knows how I play and I wont tolerate douchebags or power hungry dictators :)
I hope to see anyone interested in joining me and try to build something good with the legendary [IS} tag on this server.
